Procedural 3D Phyllotaxis (Blender Geometry-Nodes)
A procedural 3D Phyllotaxis setup in Geometry-Nodes (GN).
Phyllotaxis refers to the arrangement patterns of leaf-like appendages in plants. This Blender file allows to play with and generate phyllotaxis arrangements via geometry-nodes.
You will find two GN trees:
- "phyllotaxy" is the clean basic one that generates points following a config that you can control via the exposed parameters.
- "phyllotaxy_exploration" is a more complex setup with different optional groups/frames. It includes parts that I used for my experiments and visualization. You can just play around and study it for your own learning and needs. It requires manual tweaking of the node-tree.
You will also find a simple "leaf_element" GN node for flexible editing of a possible element to instance, but no materials are provided.
This setup has been tested with Blender 3.2.1.
